Village Middle School The Village Middle School, began in 2004, and consists of grades five through eight. The school’s philosophy, guiding principles, expectations and values are the same for all grades at The Village School. However, because experience and research shows that adolescents differ from elementary age children in reasoning, interests, and physical, social and emotional development, it was realized that the curriculum would differ in organization, content, and instruction.

Core Curriculum The present core curriculum offers language arts, math with pre-algebra, science, social studies, Bible study, and health.

Encore Classes The elective curriculum consists of high school algebra, high school Spanish, world religion, art, band, orchestra, music for me, technology, yearbook, life skills, and physical education.

Core Curriculum Middle School classes meet on a block schedule so that the students can spend more time researching and the teachers incorporate more team teaching.

Encore Classes Middle School students have a variety of "Encore" classes in which to choose. Two hours each day are dedicated to a various encore classes. Students have the opportunity to choose their encore classes and enroll in classes that they find great interest.
