TVS Student Artists Win Top Honors at Local Competition

Recently, students from The Village School of Naples entered the Delnor Wiggins State Park's Children's Art Competition. The competition, open to all students in Collier County, garnered a record breaking amount of entries. The competition boiled down to over 150 unique, student-created art pieces that were selected for exhibition.

We are excited to share that three of our Lower School students were recognized as award winners at the competition! Second Grade student, Shelby S., earned the People's Choice Award within the K-2 Grade Level division.

In addition to a People's Choice Award, Fifth Grade student, Anderson H., was awarded First Place for his hand-drawn portrait of a member of Florida's native Calusa tribe.

And to wrap it all up, Fourth Grade student, Bailey D., earned Second Place for her amazing macro style drawing of a snake eye.

We are so proud of the time, hard work, and energy that our student artists contributed toward this competition! To see more artwork just like this, be sure to mark your calendar for TVS' Festival of The Arts in April 2022, where our school community will come together to celebrate the visual, performing, and culinary arts.
