The Village School Mathew Learning Commons collaborates with students and staff in a welcoming environment to foster a love of reading and helps to develop skills in writing and research while seeking out, identifying, and properly citing reliable print and internet sources. This space also serves as an innovation hub for the school with state of the art technology and spaces that promote curiosity and creativity. The Learning Commons has flexible seating, a makerspace, white board tables, interactive smart board tables and more!

Facility & Resources


The MLC is open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Students also have 24-hour access to a collection of subscription research databases designed for elementary, middle, and upper school students, including Kids Infobits, Research in Context, Students Resources in Context, Opposing Viewpoints in Context and Questia School. Usernames and passwords are available in the MLC, or from our teachers.
