Welcome from the Head of the Middle School
Greetings TVS families!
I am so blessed to be leading this amazing family of educators, parents, and of course students through their Middle School years! As I enter my 4th year leading the Middle School, my family and I are thrilled to be part of an educational community that prides itself on educating the whole child in a positive Christian environment with a focus on true STEAM educational principals.
Having had the benefit of teaching and coaching at the middle school level for over a decade, I have grown to love this time in the development of a child's educational life. From the classroom to the athletic fields and beyond, the middle years are a time of exploration, growth, and social awareness. It is a time where the brain development of a child is still forming and takes educators who are keenly aware of the challenges that a middle school student faces both physically, emotionally, and of course academically.
Our incredibly qualified faculty of professional educators know first hand the challenges our Middle Schoolers face and create an environment that fosters empathy among our students as well as collaboration and communication, all while challenging students to always look beyond their current abilities and strive for more. Through our Advisory program, faculty build solid foundational relationships that foster an environment of trust and communication. A place where each student is known, nurtured, and loved in an environment that is Together, Vibrant, and Safe!
To be sure, the social-emotional stages of the Middle School years are vital to the development of the whole child. Our positive Christian environment solidifies the very Christ Skills that are necessary to help grow students who will make a positive difference in the world. Through its academic rigor, Christ Skills focus, and social-emotional development, The Village School provides an environment where each student can grow, lead and contribute in a positive way to their family, school, church, and the world beyond.
