Middle School

Welcome from the Interim Head of the Middle School

Dear TVS Families,

What an honor it is to serve as the Interim Head of Middle School. I am humbled and blessed to serve you and your students in this capacity.

The Village School community is a family. As I begin my sixth year at The Village School, I am reminded of why I am here, and that is because I saw first hand on a daily basis how my oldest child thrived on this campus. Fast forward to now, all four of my children are here, thriving in a whole child, Christian based, STREAM environment where they are truly known, nurtured, and loved.

Having taught and coached in both the high school and middle school grade levels, I can confidently say that the middle school grade levels are the most challenging, yet I find them to be the most rewarding. This is a great time in the development of a child’s educational journey.  These years will be full of growth, exploration, finding boundaries, and gaining key social skills that will help carry them on into their high school years. I am very fortunate to have a talented and compassionate team of faculty and staff that are aware of our students’ needs and can meet them where they are and get them where they need to be.

Our incredibly qualified faculty and staff in the middle school know first hand the challenges that students will be faced with. Our team will provide methods to create an environment that models and fosters empathy, collaboration, and effective communication. One of the many ways we help support our students for success is through our advisory program. This is an integral part of our students’ day that helps build a solidified foundation and aids in fostering an environment of trust and communication. The advisory program is the cornerstone of making sure we are in this Together, Vibrant, and Safe!

The social-emotional stages of the middle school years are vital to the developmental process of each child. The Christain learning environment provided at The Village School helps solidify the Christ Skills that students will need to effectively make their way through our world and leave their mark on it. Through our rigorous academic pursuits, our Christ Skill development and social-emotional curriculum, The Village School provides each student an opportunity and experience that allows them to grow, lead, and contribute in a positive way. I look forward to a wonderful year together.
Go Knights!

With gratitude,

Andrew Miranti
