Athletics

Welcome from the Athletics Director

Welcome to The Village School Athletics. The Village School Athletic Department is committed to being an integral part of the overall educational and spiritual experience offered by the school. Extracurricular athletic opportunities begin for our students in the third grade with teams that are developmental in nature, focusing of learning how to work together as a team and acquiring the basics of the sport. As our student-athletes progress through the athletic program, the teams become progressively more competitive. Our programs culminate at the Varsity level where our student-athletes will have the opportunity to compete in the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) state series. Regardless of the level of competition, though, we strive to provide every student-athlete an environment in which to achieve athletic success, while laying the foundation for success in life. Participation in athletics carries obligations relating to sportsmanship, commitment, and moral aptitude. Thus, athletics provides real life opportunities to utilize Christ Skills, a crucial aspect of The Village School. We are eager to help ensure that our student-athletes have a rich and rewarding experience within the Knight Athletic Program.

As a valued and integral part of The Village School, the Athletic Program also offers opportunities for parent involvement. We encourage parents to become members of the All Sports Booster Club and participate in the annual Knight Golf Classic. Additionally, we are always eager to have parents assist at the score table or the Snack Shack during games.

Thank you for your interest in the Knight Athletic Program. Whether you will be donning an athletic uniform or cheering for the Knights from the stands, we thank you for your support of the Black and Gold!

Go Knights!
